Caleb McMaster

Lead instructor and founder

.My Outdoor Experience

I founded MC Adventures after working for a range of outdoor companies, taking inspiration from what worked well and learning from what I felt could be improved. My aim is to provide enjoyable, professional and well-organised outdoor experiences that put people first. I have instructed and guided in locations around the world, including Canada, Japan and Spain, and bring this international experience to every adventure. As a former GB competition climber, I also have a strong background in climbing and a deep appreciation for helping others build confidence, develop skills and enjoy the outdoors safely.

Qualifications

I hold CSIA Level 3 and CASI Level 4 qualifications, demonstrating advanced expertise in ski and snowboard instruction. I am also an MCI and currently working towards becoming a British Mountain Guide (BMG) aspirant.

Tim King

Instructor

Tim is from Arizona, and has climbed and skied all throughout the American Southwest. Spending the past 20 years as a full time outdoor professional, he would spend his summers guiding rock climbing throughout the southwest (including J-Tree, Indian Creek, and Yosemite) or in the Grand Canyon, and his winters teaching skiing. Preferring the big walls in Yosemite, he additionally specializes in teaching others how to safely  and sustainably interact in the outdoors, primarily through skiing and climbing.

More recent ventures brought him across the Atlantic to continue his dream, teaching the love of the outdoors to England and Europe. He is in the process of collecting British outdoor qualifications, with an aim of collecting the Rock Climbing Development Instructor and the Mountain Leader this coming spring. His most recent venture has been helping climbers hone their high level skills and train for rock climbing, often working one-on-one to help climbers push their boundaries, and as a ski instructor helping people smooth out their bump-skiing and dealing with exposure. He is searching for the perfect tree-line in winter, or the ultimate backcountry big-wall in summer.
